I wear 3 wedding rings every day and they all belong to other women:
Right hand, ring finger: I was hanging out with my grandma and mom at the beginning of last summer and I asked if I could try on my mom’s wedding ring. As they watched me put it on my grandma said, “That ring is smooth…I thought my wedding ring was smooth?” and my mom said, “You’re right, doesn’t my ring have ridges?” Grandma looks at her hand and goes, “Wait, this ring has ridges!” Apparently dudes had somehow switched wedding rings like 10 years back and never noticed it. My grandma, who is wildly single after being married 3-4 times, let me keep hers. I asked, “Is this from your wedding to my grandpa?” and she said “Oh, Grandma lost count.” I recounted this exact story to my other grandma (dad’s mom) and after I was done, she made a little Marge Simpson “mm” sound. The next time she saw me, she said, “Grandma has a present for youuu!” It was her ring and she kept staring at me until I put it on, too. She got grandma jeal!
Left hand, ring finger: You know that your in-laws approve of your recent engagement when your mother-in-law literally pulls the ring off of her finger to put it on yours.
